tasks.
30 years of engineering, project controls, and construction
experience shows us the importance of keeping track of business
documentation. It's necessary to keep all project correspondence,
what is planned, what actually happened and critical issues
that arise. A business or project's documents are often scattered
among various people and formats. People often resort to a
combination of word documents, note pads, spreadsheets, and
lists, and, if not sufficiently comfortable with computers,
hand written text. None of these methods really satisfy the
overall problem of keeping track of the work and data is often
lost, not maintained, or at best partially complete.
Daily Manager solves these problems by using a set of templates
that require minimal computer skills and provide a time use
effective method of documenting what is happening. Additionally,
with Daily Manager's communication capability, any documentation
can be immediately sent as an email to communicate and share
problems and resolutions with all impacted parties.
Daily Manager' Functions
The Daily Manager main menu has four main functions, a reports
selection, and a tools selection for maintaining common data.
All data is user protected so documents can accessed only
the creator or a designated administrative person.
A simple mouse click on the four function buttons, immediately
takes the user to an easy to use template with pull down menu
selection and clear places to input data.
The Reports button takes the user to a Reports Menu where
the user simply selects from a list for the desired report.
Status, cost, and action items reports are available to cover
a wide range of needs.
The Tools button contains a series of tables that contain
frequently used information such as contact names, addresses,
system names, project areas, etc. With this information stored,
the user simply selects from pull down menus to include information
into the Letters, Daily Plan, Log, Meeting Notes, or Action
Items templates.
The Tools menu data greatly speeds information addition and
provides consistency.
Place Daily Manager on your local network and let all project
personnel access the program. Management can quickly review
daily plans, comment on log entries and see critical issues
as they develop. Daily Manager can greatly increase communication
among project parties.
